From Theory to Practice – Bringing SEL Alive in Everyday Teaching
This practical session focuses on integrating SEL seamlessly into the school day. Educators will walk away with a toolkit of easy-to-implement activities such as storytelling, check-ins, gratitude rituals, and mindful practices. We’ll model how SEL can be woven into lesson plans without needing extra time, making it a natural part of classroom culture.

Meet your facilitator - Shveta Kapur
She is a Master Trainer and Educational Consultant with an experience of 20+ years in different pedagogical approaches across various educational boards in the country. Her professional qualifications include Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, School Leadership and Management. She is M.A. (English), B.Ed and CTET qualified. She loves to experiment and learn through experience. She has been a part of various workshops on ‘Design Thinking in classrooms’, ‘Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Community Resilience Model, IB Category 1. Besides this, She has been a Cambridge English Examiner and loves to innovate with teaching pedagogies.
She strongly believes in leading with empathy, nurturing curiosity and celebrating connections with self and society. She advocates disruptive innovation and promotes collaboration amongst different stakeholders in education for the holistic growth of our children.

She likes to design, curate content and facilitate workshops for teachers and school leaders on improving teaching and learning process through collaboration, design thinking and developing global perspectives. Some of the important areas include:

Workshop Details
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Identify opportunities to integrate SEL practices into daily routines and lesson plans without requiring additional instructional time.

Practice and model a variety of easy-to-implement SEL strategies, such as storytelling, check-ins, gratitude rituals, and mindful practices.

Design simple lesson enhancements that embed SEL skills (e.g., self-awareness, empathy, relationship building) into academic content.​

Reflect on how embedding SEL into classroom culture can foster stronger student engagement, resilience, and collaboration.
